DownRight Productions is the brainchild of Anna Marra and Emily Schultz. Having spent over a decade as professional dancers, Emily and Anna created DownRight Productions as a means to bring art to the community by supporting local artists of a high caliber and integrating various art forms. amorphous will feature live music, dance, film and visual art.

This evening of dance is comprised of two restaged pieces by Eric Skinner and Daniel Kirk (“Here and there, now and then” and “Semita”), as well as the world premiere of a new duet by Eric Skinner exploring the relationship between a dancer’s youth and maturity, set to a haunting score by Verdi and Charpentier. Audiences will be treated to an experience of visually stunning choreography, lit by designer Mark LaPierre. This program highlights their dance legacy in Portland as a sophisticated and technically gifted dance ensemble, which includes dancers Chase Hamilton, Brian Nelson, and Skye Stouber, in addition to Eric Skinner and Daniel Kirk.

Mark Morris, hailed as “the most influential choreographer alive and indisputably the most musical” (The New York Times), returns to White Bird with a new evening-length work Pepperland,celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ landmark Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Created at the request of the City of Liverpool as part of the city’s season-long tribute to the groundbreaking album, Pepperland will feature an original score by Ethan Iverson inspired by the album’s unforgettable songs.
