STEPS PDX SCHOOL FOCUSES ON QUALITY OF MOVEMENT, DEVELOPING ARTISTRY, BUILDING STRENGTH, AND PERFECTING TECHNIQUE.

Artistic Director, Kathryn Harden and Artistic Staff, have carefully curated the curriculum to challenge the physical and technical abilities of each individual dancer, in a safe and positive environment. Dancers are placed in levels based on ability, not age, in order to benefit the most from their training. Progression into each level is earned through hard work, determination, and discipline.

Performance experience is a fundamental part of training. Dancers have the opportunity to perform in Nightmare Before Christmas in December 2022 and Flourish in June 2023, as well as in studio showcases.
