Kicking off its second year with the first show of 2024 on Saturday, January 13.

Imposter/switch celebrates the imposter syndrome living in each of us by poking a little fun at the idea that mastery is necessary for creative viability and inviting artists to courageously switch disciplines with another artist.

Imposter/switch #5 will be the first time I/s creator & co-curator Marissa Rae Niederhauser (Dance, video, performance art) will be joined by newly appointed co-curator liz HOWLS (puppetry). Each will select 3 artists working in various disciplines. The artists’ names will go in one hat and their disciplines in another and in a drawing artists are assigned a new medium at random. A video of the selection process is shared online announcing the results and the artists are given two weeks to gather supplies and prepare to show what they’ve made for an audience at Performance Works Northwest

Submissions are on going, a diversity of disciplines and demographic identities is encouraged. Slide into our DMS and let us know if you are interested! Imposter/switch is a co-production of Performance Works Northwest.
