My physical therapy practice encompasses a lot: manual treatment, movement re-training, taping, education about injury management and performance enhancement. Every session is different, based on how you present that day.
I became what I needed. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in Dance Medicine, I understand the unique needs of movement athletes. I was injured in ways that changed the trajectory of my dance career. I carry that knowledge and now I’m in my dream job. I’ve worked with all levels of dancers, from six year old fire-crackers, to 87 year old giants. I work with professionals, students, retirees, and anyone pursuing a healthy movement lifestyle. You can find me backstage, on-site at homes and studios, in the clinic, and on the sidelines of many major dance events. Before I prescribe anything, I spend time talking and looking and listening and believing you. I know a lot about the body in general and the impact of dance, but you know more about your body than I. I’d love to work together to figure it all out and build a plan specifically for your needs.

Find a good Dance Medicine specialist and save them as a “Favorite” on your phone! Seriously, if you find one of us at the beginning of any body question, we can help minimize the long-term effect of “I’ll just wait and see if this gets better.” When your body starts to give you a signal, rather than waiting or pushing through or hoping it goes away on it’s own, it’s always best to ask and get outside, professional advice.
