About

My mission as a Craniosacral Therapist is to facilitate the body’s innate healing capabilities through gentle touch and support of the nervous system, promoting balance and harmony within the body. I aim to provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals to connect with themselves, their body’s wisdom, and their creativity. My goal is for my clients to achieve optimal health and wellness and to promote greater awareness and understanding of the mind-body connection, which is an integral part of any dancer’s life. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care to each of my clients, and to fostering a community of healing and growth

What My Practice Includes:

CranioSacral Therapy

One thing I wish dancers or dance teachers knew to avoid or repair from injury or stay healthy in general?

It is often overlooked, but conditioning should include all the planes of movement (sagittal, frontal, and transverse) While there is always a time and a place for focusing in on specific muscle groups, muscles don’t work solely in isolation. Each plane involves different combinations of muscles working together and movement patterns- and neglecting any one of them can lead to muscle imbalances, decreased range of motion, and a higher risk of injury. By incorporating exercises that work in all three planes of motion, you can improve overall movement quality, increase range of motion, and reduce the risk of injury.

I also encourage dancers to incorporate internal rotation of the femurs into their conditioning or rehab routines in order to balance out the external rotation that we tend to overtrain in many dance techniques.
