I’m driven to dance and through dance by music. While I do enjoy dancing to silence, I really feel like my body is a conduit for the visual experience of listening to music. I have a big background in playing instruments and find myself always falling back into music as the instigation, emotion, and propellant for my dance. My musicality is a clear pillar of my dance work and something I’m constantly continuing to develop through my life.

My dance technique background is primarily focused on modern/contemporary and tap. I strive for ease, unique transitions, and specificity of movement. My performance style is characterized by a focus on the hands and head as vehicles for emotional expression, and a constant connection of the spine both to my body and past my body to the ground and surrounding space.
