Title: Operations and Communications Manager + Community Relationships Lead

What does that mean? 

My behind-the-scenes work with Dance Wire is in Operations and consists of managing the daily activities of the organization. I am our resident Airtable expert and have built out CRM, budget, and project management templates that I share with our 1:1 participants. I also communicate directly with constituents, board, donors, and members.

Artistic life outside Dance Wire:

I produce dance films and concert pieces on a project basis as well as teaching DanceAbility classes for people with and without disabilities. 

Why my work at Dance Wire is meaningful to me:

While I have been dancing all my life, I have lost dance twice throughout my dance journey for long stretches of time because the level of training required was not compatible with my own emotional and physical needs. My circuitous route back to dance has formed my new approach. I am now interested in finding and amplifying everyone’s own strengths as movers and having people discover the joy of dance! I firmly believe that dance is for every body, regardless of each individual’s unique attributes. Dance Wire was founded on these same values and so my work here perfectly aligns with something I know to be true and have experienced in my own body.
